Biography

Ezra Merza was generally an idea made by Muzz back in mid-2011, whereby he suggested to make a pop-punk band. The idea was postponed up to late 2011, whereby Mukhlis and Rais came on board to start Ezra Merza. They started jamming to Green Day, Blink-182 and Sum 41.

It was up until February 2012 where Ezra Merza got their name. They became determined to write their own materials, which then in turn resulted in a change of genre to pop rock, where they figured it would suit their style of playing as well as composition.

Ezra Merza started experimenting to record and mix their own materials in April 2012, and started to build their own recording studio for the purposes if it. This took months.

As of July 2012, they recruited a new member to the band, Arif, and they created a Facebook page, along with an uploaded debut single titled “Faces”.
